Brunch and catching up with you

Assalamualaikum
Beatrice Quarters, Central Park mall
right now I'm in Public Health posting. I have to work at government clinics, evaluate their public health programs, make a research article, and give out health lecture to the public. I hope I can survive this 10 weeks.
So this is me....catching up with you guys :)
I love doing catching up session during brunch. So this is my recent brunch photos
(just close your eyes and pretend this imaginary brunch and catching up session with me)
How are you doing? I'm fine thanks **awkward**

Egg Benedict and Salad somethingg??
This clinical year felt so quick I didn't realize I'm on my 11th postings already! Two more to go (woohoo)

A lot of interesting incident during the clinical year but I can only tell my colleague. Ugh, I wish I can tell publicly or tweet about it. I am afraid it's somewhat unethical or people can make a wrong impression of the hospital and health workers. I'm juicing out my mind to find any public-friendly story to blog about. By the time I find a nice story I was too busy and forgot to update my blog, and the cycle goes on.
I think in the future I will blog about Indo healthcare systems. (I don't promise anything)

Bye for now!
what's your favorite brunch?

Strawberry Crumble

Dermatology and cheating husband

Busy is just an excuse. Because I usually spent my day sleeping and whining.
I forgot this blog exists. How can I make up to this?

Since my last post, I've finished anesthesiology, psychiatry, and internal medicine rotation. Right now I'm on dermatology rotation - my fav so far!

'what's in my work bag' vibe. hagitewww
This is my opportunity to learn and of course (ehem) consult the dermatologist about my skin. Even it's a teeny tiny nonvisible defect and dots on my skin. Lol. Aside from cosmetic and beauty, this hospital that I currently 'working' have a lot of usual skin disease/problems such as psoriasis, scabies, tinea, and.. LEPROSY!! (atau KUSTA)

Did you know leprosy is endemic in Indonesia?? Leprosy cases in Indonesia are the third greatest in the world!! How crazy is that! I deal with leprosy patients every single day at the dermatology polyclinic. No worries it can be treated if recognized at an early stage.

And of course, at this clinic I met a few suami suami curangHusband & wife usually come with genital lesion and complain. And when we examine, *sigh* it's STD (penyakit jangkitan seksual). I gave the husband the side-eye. The wife is always clueless. While the wife gets the medicine we interrogate the husband,

"do you sleep with another woman?"

"no.."
"This can only be transmitted sexually. Don't lie to me."

"yes.. I slept once.."

BOOMM!! Baru ngaku bila gertak ciket.

So suami suami di luar sana jangan la jadi bangang curang dengan isteri okay! Especially dah ada anak tak kesian ke. Smh panggil trash marah pulakk. Ok lah. That's all my useless rant. Next time I will think of more useful content (will I?)

Bubyee...

Baby and me

I haven't blogged for almost 3 months. I got tied up at hospitals. Too occupied that I don't have time to blog to tell you I'm busy because I AM BUSY. now

After I wrote my last blog entry, I was assigned to a hospital in Depok for Obstetrics & Gynecology (Obgyn) posting for 10 weeks. I just finished my Obgyn posting last week and right now I'm on Anesthesia posting in different hosp (we'll get to that in my next post).

It was... uhmmm... great. but physically worn out. Every day, at least one patient will give birth, either spontaneous vaginal delivery or cesarean section.

My first time assisting natural vaginal delivery, I was moved! MY HAND. THIS HAND.. just pulled a tiny human being from another human. Afterward, I will whisper to the baby "jangan jadi anak derhaka ye.."

At first, I was excited but after a few weeks, I sigh when pregnant moms come to the hospital at 2am. Like, can you hold your baby for a few hours? I need to catch on my beauty sleep. But of course I couldn't say that lah. They were screaming in pain.

Nevertheless, childbirth is a beautiful process and I'm glad I was a part of it.
