Review: ZOEVA Rose Golden Luxury Set Vol. 1

Assalamualaikum.

Now I will 'review' this gorgeous brushes, and post some photos to help anyone who is still deciding to buy this brush or not. Actually I bought this brushes, RM100+ cheaper than Sephora Malaysia price (we'll get to that later). But first I will talk about the basic info of this brushes.

This brushes comes with a Product Control card in the pouch.

This set consist of 8 brushes, and comes with a pouch. It is perfect for people that focus more on their makeup base, rather than eyeshadow. But, the eyeshadow brushes are not bad at all.

November Beauty Haul

Assalamualaikum.

It's my birthday month!!!

I didn't shop much for beauty product, because I had enough. I only restocking my essentials; face mist and exfoliate, but I want to try different brand. And for my birthday, finally bought my Sephora wishlist item <3

Why I buy Body Shop?? Sebab DESPERATE. Hermo and Althea Indonesia website are down, so I cannot restock my beauty product from there :( Then I curious about the Vitamin C range because vitamin is good bla bla bla, that's why. I just bought whatever she (the employee) suggested to me.

1. The Body Shop Vitamin C Energising Face Mist (100 ml)

First time test it at the shop, it felt great. But when I try at home after washing my face, it felt... weird... Tingling sensation and so pedih bila termasuk dalam mata! Sebab orange. So you have to be careful. Don't spray too much or it will meleleh masuk dalam mata!

2. The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Revealing Liquid Peel (145 ml)

I just tried once. So I don't know I like it or not. For now, it's ok lah. But please use in bathroom. Because last time I use this in my room, in front of mirror, then the peeled skin came off and fell on the floor like eraser dust. So not pretty, I had to swept the floor again after that.

3. ZOEVA Rose Golden Luxury Set 

I've been eyeing this brush set for a year! After thorough thinking, I decided to invest on this brushes. Can't wait to use all of them. This brush just arrived this morning, that's why I'm so excited and snap some photos, edit, and upload right away on this blog. It's great to have fellow beauty blogger friends to share this good news. You guys know this new makeup feelings right??? Hahahaha..

Collective Haul: Drugstore + Sephora

Assalamualaikum.

From now on I will start posting Haul entry. I don't think this was a good idea before because I don't want to annoy my readers because it seems unnecessary, but then I read comments saying they actually love to read this kind of entry (me too, hahaha), so I want to tiru since I don't know what to post on my blog nowadays.

So, in my first collective haul, I pick my 10 recently bought products. I will do a mini review.

1. BECCA Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector
a great primer for oily skin. I only apply this on my T-zone

2. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
I love the Powdery-velvet finishing of this primer. Make my foundation more flawless

3. NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer - Ginger
full coverage concealer, creamy, and can cover my dark circle nicely

4. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Pressed Powder - Translucent
tbh I bought this powder because the Sephora employee said this powder have HD effect can make you look prettier on camera. Hahahaha

5. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation - Y325 Flesh

not so heavy, nice for oily skin, I have to use more frequently

Drugstore product.

I purchased my drugstore product in Jakarta, jadi sejujurnya I tak tahu produk ni ada ke tak kat Malaysia, so beberapa link akan redirect to the brand's Indonesia site. These are available in Indonesia. So, my Indonesian readers, aku beli ini semua di department store seperti Sogo Central Park, Central Neo SOHO, Matahari Taman Anggrek Mall. Kalo di watson atau guardian gitu aku kurang tau. Biasanya di department store lebih banyak pilihan. Kelmarin di Neo SOHO ada promo guys. 

6. L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation - Fresh Beige 107
wow I love this foundation especially for everyday use. Lightweight, decent coverage. I apply this foundation with Real Technique buffing brush because my visible pore will disappear!

7. Maybelline Master Strobing Cream - Nude
If you use under foundation, tak beri effect sangat pun. Bila pakai on top of foundation, macam susah nak blend pulak. I iz confused

8. Wardah Long Lasting Lipstick - Pink Sorbet 02
The colour is nice, soft matte, creamy. But, you have to apply on dry lips. Wipe your lipbalm first, then apply this lipstick. The lipstick transfers on cup ugh so ugly and embarassing. I will not repurchase this. (btw lipstick tu jatuh time nak ambik gambar sebab tu huduh semacam kalau zoom)

9. L'oreal Infallible Never Fail Lip Liner - Nude
Ummmm. It glides smoothly when I tested on my hand. But on lips, nope. Not creamy, hard to apply

10. Silkygirl Matte Junkie Lip Cream - Vintage 04
When you first apply it looks so pretty. But 2 hours after that, it looks creepy. Warna tak sekata. So next time if you want to use this lipstick just apply a lil bit and smudge with your finger for more natural look. Much better when apply like that.

My Makeup Story

1. How old were you when you started wearing make up? 
13 y/o - Baby Johnson compact powder, lipgloss, celak(pinjam kawan sebab duk asrama)

18 y/o- NYX eyeliner, Sephora pencil liner, Estee Lauder concealer (tapi tak reti guna). It just stop there because I know pretty much NOTHING about how to put on makeup properly.

21 y/o (this year!) - foundation, concealer, contour kit, liquid lipstick, eyelash curler, eyeshadop palette, highlight, and everything...

2. How did you get into make up?   
I love interior design, and small decoration. So last november 2015 I decided to bought a pretty & colourful makeup brushes to spice up my vanity, biar nampak girly sikit. So I purchased a Real Techniques Travel Essentials brush set. Setelah berbulan menghiasi meja, on February 2016 I decided to watch a makeup tutorial for the brush set. And I end up buying more makeup when I watch more makeup tutorial. And I LOVE makeup ever since.

3. What are some of your favourite brands?
MAC, Tarte, Laneige

4. What does make up mean to you?  
Hobby and to trick people into thinking I'm naturally flawless

6. What is your favourite thing about make up?  
Empowering, & sisterhood. Makeup society ni memang stand for each other and help each other. Yang tak cantik rasa cantik bila pakai makeup dek di puji oleh makeup society. Ye lah kadang-kadang orang tu tak cantik pun bila dah makeup vogue kemain, tapi tetap dipuji credit to her awesome makeup skillz. Hahahahah. I love you gals

7. What do you think of drugstore vs high end make up?
High end ni memang lagi best, banyak choice yang berkualiti tapi seksa untuk yang tak berduit cam aku ni. Drugstore pulak kena cari betul-betul (baca reviews) product apa je yang berkualiti. Ye lah kalau main beli je even RM20 tapi kalau takleh pakai tetap membazir walaupun murah. RM20 tu boleh buat menabung untuk high end makeup!! Be smart girls

8. What is the one make up trend you've never understood?
Those crazy eyeshadow that look like you just join pertandingan poster anti dadah peringkat kebangsaan but you draw & colour the whole thing on your eyelids. It's insaneeee. Tapi kreatif gila. Tapi apa motif pun I tak tahu. Biarlah asalkan dorang happy.

My on-the-go makeup routine

Sometimes kita busy and nak benda yang mudah untuk meneruskan hidup tapi nak nampak cantik juga.
Recently I try this makeup routine and it works well for me so I decided to share with you guys 😄 

I think this is an on-the-go makeup sebab boleh buat the whole process in a car. Kalau dalam kereta nak pakai foundation/BB cream kena bawak separate mirror, botol foundation boleh pecah and I malas bawak banyak barang!!

So I try something yang tak time-consuming sangat untuk di apply. So here is my style (probably everyone's style too)

1. Colour corrector

Just a little dot under your eye. VERY LITTLE sebab sangat pigmented benda ni. And blend it well with finger/brush

2. Concealer

Jangan guna banyak sangat just a sheer nipis application. Make a triangle under your eye, tap & spread with your finger a lil bit, and dab a damp beauty blender tu even it out 👍🏼

3. Set with powder 

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder 

Set your concealer with powder and I powder my nose lightly sebab taknak bagi patchy

4. BB Cushion

Laneige Whitening BB Cushion 

dab the puff (fast and even) but don't put too much product in the same area. Ambik sikit, even it out on your whole face, and apply a second layer if you're unsatisfied with the coverage. You have to dab it really well or it will become cakey. Serious

5. Blush

You can use cream blush or pink lipstick. 

In above picture I just use a pink lipstick (sebab takde duit nak beli cream blush) and dab it lightly on my cheeks 

6. Highlight

7. Liquid lipstick

I LOVE this colour sebab macam orange peachy tone. Natural sikit & look nice on medium skin tone like me. This is a matte lipstick so nak bagi nampak natural bibir ni, just apply sikit je, and tap with your finger, even it out all over the lips. 

8. Sampai di sini sahaja. Seterusnya terpulang nak pakai mascara ke, eyeliner ke eyeshadow. Tapi dalam gambar tu tak pakai sebab tak sempat.

DONE!!!

The reason why I apply powder before bb cushion because I still want the dewyness effect still visible. If I apply powder lepas bb cushion of course nampak matte. So you just have to be careful, jangan letak banyak sangat sebab nanti cakey. 

And why I apply the concealer first?

I tahu biasanya orang letak concealer lepas base. Tapi the reason why orang buat macam tu adalah kalau foundation tu tak boleh cover dark circle, tambah concealer. Kalau dah boleh cover takyah.

But I dah beribu kali pakai foundation pun still visible kena apply concealer gak. I know that I still need help from concealer so baik letak awal-awal it won't hurt. 

(KORANG FAHAM TAK AKU BEBEL NI MESTI TAK FAHAM 😂 letih aku type panjang-panjang)

I want this look to be natural as possible. Apply concealer after bb cushion might cancel out the skin-like-no-makeup result of the BB cushion. So I prefer this way 💯
